Thoughts from a Window Seat
March 1st, 2008 | Published in Featured, Personal
I’m relaxing on a window seat overlooking Cannery Row in Monterey California. To my right there is a fire merrily crackling - and I hear laughter from the streets below and seagulls calling overhead. It’s hard to believe that this Cannery Row is the same Cannery Row that John Steinbeck immortalized in 1945.
I’ve spent a great deal of time thinking on this trip. I’ve heard a lot of ideas - and met a lot of people - and I think it will be some time before I can process it all. What I know for sure is that I live an amazingly lucky life. And I’m surrounded by people who are changing the world. I am inspired.
