Grand Adventures

This next week is going to be an Exciting Adventure. First off - I’m headed out to San Francisco for the Israel Web Tour. Special thanks to Brian Solis for the heads up on this event. What exactly is the Israel Web Tour? Once a year - 15 Companies - “The Chosen Ones” are selected from among numerous applicants to tour Silicon Valley as part of a popular road show. The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) has announced the selection of the following 15 startups:

The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental membership supported organization dedicated to strengthening business and economic relations between California and Israel. With its wide and dynamic network of over 5,000 companies, business executives and investors, CICC is positioned to serve as a facilitator and active supporter for joint ventures between the two communities. Through its programs and activities CICC supports hundreds of Israeli entrepreneurs through their journey to grow, fund and advance their startup companies. www.ca-israelchamber.org

I’ll be interviewing a handful of folks for The Business Makers Show - and also hanging with my new best bud - Erica Douglass.

The Up ExperienceOn February 7th - I’m catching the Red-Eye back to Houston to “spend the day with the world’s top thinkers, creators, and innovators” at The Up Experience. I’m really looking forward to seeing Malcolm Gladwell, Sir Ken Robinson, and Steve Wozniak present. It’s going to be a power-packed day that I’m sure will leave me breathless.

On February 8th - I’m heading out to Dallas for the Community Leadership Summit that’s being organized by Caleb Jenkins - and boasts such participants as Tara Hunt and Stephen P. Anderson. Find out more by visiting: CommunityCamp.

I Have Blogger's Block
I was chatting with my friend Laura Mayes tonight - explaining how I have Blogger’s Block.  Tomorrow I head to San Francisco - and I’ve already stocked up on awesome reading materials for the plane - including the Complete Works of Jane Austen and Katharine Hepburn’s Autobiography.  Laura’s advice:

The best way to get out of a block is to read good writing.

And to go to Northern California.

Check. And Check.

Sometimes life just works out.

Link Policy

My personal link policy is as follows - I only link to the blogs of people I actually know in real life (with the exception of the "Other Erica's" section). I think when you add someone to your blogroll there should be real meaning attached. Most of the people I link to are not only acquaintances - but folks I am lucky enough to call my friends.
