Marketing 101
I’ve never had any professional training in Marketing. In fact - just about everything I’ve learned about Marketing, Technology, PR, Advertising, and Social Media I have taught myself. Today I was on a conference call with a large traditional marketing firm - when the question was asked - “What would a VC be looking for in a Marketing Plan?” I’m not sure why I decided to answer - or exactly what I said — but I will tell you that the president of that big marketing firm said that my answer was right on target. How’s that for a little homegrown knowledge?
Microsoft PhizzPop Design Challenge

On December 14th - I have the honor of judging the Microsoft PhizzPop Design Challenge in Austin, Texas. Lots of great companies including Frog Design, PopLabs, Effective UI, VML, Projekt202 and many others will be competing. I’m really excited to be a part of this competition - and I can’t wait to see what these great companies come up with!
What is PhizzPop?
What is PhizzPop? PhizzPop is “a place to drive success for your Web business through networking, idea exchange, events, jobs, and more. Learn a thing or two, and show your stuff.” With an emphasis on using Microsoft Software for Design and Development - PhizzPop is a great place for Creatives to network and interact.
