Day 2 - ReinventingErica.com

Today was one of the busiest days of my life. Had a client emergency - so I found myself working at the office very late. I did have time to meet with Natalie who is going to serve as my “Dedicated Listener” during the next 90 Days. I kinda like to think of her as my health and nutrition coach. We met this afternoon to talk a little bit about my diet - and my issues with food.

“Information is power”. I think you’ll enjoy watching ‘Fast Food Nation’, ‘Super Size Me’, and ‘The Corporation’. They’ll all give you a different perspective on the food industry, that may help in your transformation.

I’m impressed that you’re being so candid about personal change. This is refreshing — thanks.
Good seeing you at Lone Star RubyConf this weekend.

Think it’s great that you are taking these steps. Great advice from Nat about taking “diet” out of your vocabulary. You are just “eating”, – it’s just fuel, nothing more. Another thought is to really get in tune with what you are avoiding immediately prior to eating poorly or over eating. Like any over-indulgence (drinking, smoking, eating) it’s an avoidance. Listen to your bodily state - fullness makes one breath slower, when you breath slower your body relaxes, then you “think” are less stressed… BUT really, you are avoiding something (that keeps you anxious) that you need to march foward through. Anywho - I also suggest talking to Mike Abreu of Smoothie King, Fry Rd, Katy, TX. He’s an RN, Nutritionist, Health Consultant. He has done amazing life changes for people. He needs to learn how to blog! You can trade consulting services!! P.S. I’ll soo go to yoga with you!

@Kez - Thanks - I’ll check those movies out
@Nils - Great seeing you too - and I’ve decided that candid is definitely good. It feels really freeing to be able to speak honestly and openly about this process.
@Greg - LOL - Love the Skinny Bitch book - great title!
@MaryFran - I agree. I would love to go to Yoga with you.
