ReinventingErica Gets Reinvented

September 4th, 2007  |  Published in Uncategorized  |  4 Comments

So - lots of news. I wanted to start out by saying that BarCampHouston was a roaring success!!! Thanks to our sponsors, to Marc Nathan, Kelsey Ruger, & Marianne. And thanks to all of you!!!

Next - I’ve decided to restart the ReinventingErica project - which means things around here are going to be more active than usual. What exactly does this mean?

Second - I’m going to be commencing the ReinventingErica.com 90-day total transformation project today. I’ll be focusing on the following areas:

  1. Health & Fitness
  2. Career Development
  3. Personal Development

Health & Fitness

My weight is something that has really been plaguing me over the last year. I’ve gained about 24lbs since January - and I’m definitely starting to feel it. My clothes don’t fit anymore - and I’m heavier than I have ever been in my life. I find myself running into furniture because my hips are bigger than I realize. I’m also really tired most days - and I know that working out, eating right, and losing weight will dramatically improve my stress levels, my confidence, and my life.

I’ve decided to pursue a combination of diet, consistent exercise (with a personal trainer), and a medical weight loss program overseen by my physician. I’m also seriously considering having some SmartLipo performed on a couple of areas. I’ll be exploring those options further over the next few weeks - and welcome any input you might have :)

Career Developments

I’m not really a business person - not in the traditional sense. There is so much that I don’t know - but that I wish I did. Over the next 90-days I will be embarking on The Personal MBA program. I’ll also be hiring an executive coach to help me realize my professional goals in the shortest time frame possible.

Personal Developments

I’ll be doing the Landmark Forum from September 7th - 10th. I think this will be a great jump start for my life. After this I will be doing a 10 week seminar on personal development with an emphasis on finding balance.

The Revolution (Reinvention) will be TELEVISED

Finally - I’m planning to video my entire journey over the next 90-days. So - there it is - One Woman. 90 Days. Total Transformation. I’ll be posting the first video later tonight so stay tuned.

Great for you! Glad to hear anyone wanting to get healthier and eat better! I’m doing a raw food detox and feeling so much better after only 3 days. I still crave chocolate though but give me a few days! Look forward to seeing positive changes :)

I Have Blogger's Block
I was chatting with my friend Laura Mayes tonight - explaining how I have Blogger’s Block.  Tomorrow I head to San Francisco - and I’ve already stocked up on awesome reading materials for the plane - including the Complete Works of Jane Austen and Katharine Hepburn’s Autobiography.  Laura’s advice:

The best way to get out of a block is to read good writing.

And to go to Northern California.

Check. And Check.

Link Policy

My personal link policy is as follows - I only link to the blogs of people I actually know in real life (with the exception of the "Other Erica's" section). I think when you add someone to your blogroll there should be real meaning attached. Most of the people I link to are not only acquaintances - but folks I am lucky enough to call my friends.
