Twitteroo, PlayTalk, & More

I’m not sure why this is just now coming to my attention — but I just downloaded Twitteroo tonight. Twitteroo is a windows desktop client for Twitter, similar to Twitterific on a Mac. I like it — it’s a nice way to track Twitter updates. I usually use IM (GTalk) primarily (but since it’s been down for like forever) — I’ve been almost Twitterless.
I really like Twitter — I think it’s a great way to stay in touch with friends — get to know new friends — and even track my personal productivity (or lack there of — as the case may be).
Tonight John Resig also introduced me to PlayTalk a Social Networking App from Korea. Despite the fact that a lot of the interaction on the site is in Korean — I really like the idea. Unlike Twitter — it keeps updates centralized to a users profile — and allows friends to comment on those updates. It’s like Twitter with real Organizational Structure. I’m going to play with it more this week — and let you know what I think.
Now onto the “More” — big things are a foot in our fair city of Houston. And I expect great things from our community this year. I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting some amazing people in the last few months — and I look forward to collaborating with them all to fulfill this city’s potential.
