Will I see you there? I’ve been toying with the idea of publishing my Calendar of Events — so that anyone who would like to meet up with me at SXSWi will have my schedule at their fingertips. Of course — along with the rest of you foolish souls I will be twittering my location at all times
I’ve been thinking a lot about my experience at SXSWi last year — and how different this year will undoubtedly be. For starters — last year I didn’t know a soul. This year I’m looking forward to hanging out with all my dear friends (new and old) including (in no particular order):
- Giovanni Gallucci
- whurley
- Kinan Sweidan
- Kelsey Ruger
- Bryan Veloso
- Nick Finck
- Derek Featherstone
- Melissa Howse
- Jim Young
- Robert Brackenridge
- Sharron Rush
- Silona
- Glenda Sims
- Katie Laird
- Ed Schipul
- Mark Nathan
- Christopher St. John
- Anyone I Forgot
I’m also excited to be helping to host and organize two very popular events this upcoming weekend. First — The Refresh “World” Meetup at Bourbon Rocks. Meet Refresher’s from around the World at this informal gathering off 6th. We’re planning two panel discussions – one on User Experience hosted by Nick Finck (flight is arriving too late), Chris Bernard, Bryan Veloso, and Stephen P. Anderson — and another on Accessibility with Sharron Rush, Derek Featherstone, and Kelsey Ruger. Additionally — John Moore from Brand Autopsy will be joining our panelists to discuss how UX and Accessibility tie into Branding, Marketing, & New Social Media.
Come to learn – come to share. This event is all about making connections, exploring new media, and promoting great talent and design. RSVP at http://upcoming.org/event/155659/
Second — BARCAMPAUSTIN2 — The BarCamp of BarCamps!!! Last year BarCampAustin set the Gold Standard for BarCamps everywhere. Join us again this year as we exceed geek expectations and change the face of Un-conferences everywhere. http://barcampaustin.org/
