MyBlogLog Uses Tables?
January 29th, 2007 | Published in Uncategorized
Gio and I talked about MyBlogLog at BarCampDallas3. Like Giovanni — I think it’s a great idea. Afterall — it’s all about Ego Gratification. Tonight I finally got around to signing up for MyBlogLog — and quickly went in search of blogs who are using this widget — just to see my name and picture show up in their recent readers list. Then — I thought why not add it to the sidebar of my own blog?
Like most widgets, MyBlogLog has a nifty code generator. Unfortunately the code generated by the JavaScript is a mess — I mean tables and everything. After adding MyBlogLog to my sidebar I did a quick page validation — 20 ERRORS. Completely unacceptable. I promptly removed MyBlogLog — and started writing this post.
MyBlogLog also has a WordPress Widget that you can download if you are using WP Widgets in your sidebar. I haven’t tried this yet — so I don’t know what kind of code it generates — I’ll probably give it a try later this week and let you know whether it’s up to snuff.
