iHop Has Wi-Fi — Who Knew?

January 5th, 2007  |  Published in Uncategorized  |  1 Comment

Okay — so I have already twittered and im’ed this to death — but when you live in a city like Houston that is pretty much completely and utterly devoid of 24 Hour Hotspots (hey — we’re not exactly Austin you know?) — then this is a REALLY big deal!  I mean HUGE!!!

So — I’m at iHop working on coding NYPS — and I fully intend to sit here and keep working for as long as I remain “In Flow” — and guess what?  It’s iHop — So I CAN!  Like they NEVER close and stuff.  Except like the 4th Tuesday night of the month or something — to clean the carpets.  LOL.

Who knew, really! I tried working at a local place last weekend, and it was metro-cute, but loud. I knew the 59 Diner had WiFi (but no outlets), and since IHOP is close by I thought, hrmm, what happens if I Google . . . and here I am. :) Thanks for the tip, and thanks for maintaining such a great blog. Two great finds!

I Have Blogger's Block
I was chatting with my friend Laura Mayes tonight - explaining how I have Blogger’s Block.  Tomorrow I head to San Francisco - and I’ve already stocked up on awesome reading materials for the plane - including the Complete Works of Jane Austen and Katharine Hepburn’s Autobiography.  Laura’s advice:

The best way to get out of a block is to read good writing.

And to go to Northern California.

Check. And Check.

My personal link policy is as follows - I only link to the blogs of people I actually know in real life (with the exception of the "Other Erica's" section). I think when you add someone to your blogroll there should be real meaning attached. Most of the people I link to are not only acquaintances - but folks I am lucky enough to call my friends.
