Firefox Reloaded
October 27th, 2006 | Published in Misc.
So I took the plunge today and downloaded Firefox 2.0. It’s great…except my Colorful Tabs extension doesn’t currently work with this version of Firefox (I assume that an updated version of this extension is on the way).
Speaking of Extensions, since I was updating Firefox anyway, I decided to add a few more nifty tools to my already overcrowded browser. Here are a few of my “new” favorites:
COOLIRIS: This extension allows you to hover over a link, and see a preview of the page before clicking on the link. I think this might just be my new favorite extension.
GTDGmail: This extension lets you integrate the principles of Getting Things Done with your Gmail account.
Backpack Pages: This extension lets you quickly reference pages created in 37signal’s Backpack application.
LinkedIn Companion: Let’s you search LinkedIn, and view profiles of anyone who sends you a web based e-mail.
Squidoo: View you lenses and search Squidoo.
HTML Validator: While I primarily use the Web Developer Toolbar, this extension marks page errors conveniently in the bottom bar of the browser. Hover over the icon to see page errors and warnings.
Daisy: MEET your fellow website visitors, SHARE with them any folder on your PC leave a BLOG for those that come After you. Haven’t tried this yet…but it sounds promising.
