Day 7 - Weekly Review

August 13th, 2006  |  Published in Uncategorized

There is still a lot that I would like to see happen both with this site, and with my reinvention project.  I would like to find a better way to keep track of and measure different goals.  Including bar graphs or to-do list plugins.  Additionally, I would like to be more consistent in the following areas:

  • Health & Fitness: Doing phenomenally well with the nutrition part (haven’t had any fast food whatsoever).  But, am doing less than satisfactory with working out.  Need to find a way to motivate myself more in that area.
  • Career Developments:  With the exception of a couple of minor setbacks, this is going extremely well.  Have a lot of new business coming in this week for Creativerse, and also working hard on getting the new Creativerse site up and launched as soon as possible.  Have to spend some time with G.V. next week looking at classrooms for my upcoming classes.  Also, need to work on becoming an authority in my field, and writing the GTD book with Kelsey.
  • Intellectual Developments:  Would like to come up with a list of movies and books to consume during the next 90 days.
  • Financial Developments:  So-So.  Saved around $500.00 from the last pay check, but would like to start saving at least $600 - $1000/month.  Need to find a way to make an extra $100.00/week for savings.

I Have Blogger's Block
I was chatting with my friend Laura Mayes tonight - explaining how I have Blogger’s Block.  Tomorrow I head to San Francisco - and I’ve already stocked up on awesome reading materials for the plane - including the Complete Works of Jane Austen and Katharine Hepburn’s Autobiography.  Laura’s advice:

The best way to get out of a block is to read good writing.

And to go to Northern California.

Check. And Check.

Link Policy

My personal link policy is as follows - I only link to the blogs of people I actually know in real life (with the exception of the "Other Erica's" section). I think when you add someone to your blogroll there should be real meaning attached. Most of the people I link to are not only acquaintances - but folks I am lucky enough to call my friends.
